Basically definite proof Jon Snow is coming back to ‘Game of Thrones’
It has been 37 days since Jon Snow died. We haven’t been counting. YOU’VE been counting.
And, OK, listen, if that is a spoiler, then you need to get your hands on all 5 seasons of Game of Thrones, and start the most epic television binge ever, but skip the episode called “The Red Wedding” because that one’s just a huge downer, and then come back when you’re done.
But yes, Jon Snow is dead. Or is he? Ever since the Game of Thrones Season 5 finale, there’s been a huge debate as to whether or not he’s really dead. I mean, the Internet is very invested in Jon Snow’s fate, and for good reason —there are boundless fan theories and clues within the text that point to his resurrection.
BUUUUUT, the episode’s director, David Nutter, confirmed that he’s dead. Nutter even told President Obama that he’s dead (because President Obama is also very concerned about this)! Kit Harrington himself has stated that Jon Snow is dead. And the other cast members on the show have no idea if he’s dead or not, and don’t want to guess either way. This has been going on for 37 days now, and it doesn’t appear to be letting up anytime soon.
However, we’ve got a few signs Jon Snow really, really might not be dead. So take that David Nutter. A few weeks ago, Harrington was spotted at Wimbledon, sporting long Jon Snow locks. Coincidence? Maybe. But NOW, the actor has just arrived in Belfast. Know what’s happening around Belfast right now? Filming for Game of Thrones season 6. It’s all adding up, and guys — I just don’t think Jon Snow is dead.
Sure, Harrington could just be in the area to hang out with some of his GoT buddies, and swap stories from The Wall…
Or somehow, Jon Snow is coming back to life. How? Literally no one knows for sure. Because the TV show has caught up to the books, and there’s no more source material to look at. So maybe Harrington is just filming some sort of funeral pyre scene, or a flashback scene, or something along those lines. Or, he’s reporting for duty as the once-dead (now zombie? IDK) Jon Snow.
So there you have it. One more notch in the “HE’S ALIVE!!” column for everyone following along at home with this Jon Snow Death Watch.
