JoJo is going to be the new “Bachelorette”
The Bachelorette is already off to a dramatic start, and it hasn’t even, well, started. After The Bachelor‘s tense finale Monday night, host Chris Harrison revealed on After The Final Rose that runner-up JoJo Fletcher will star on the sister show’s 12th season, Us Weekly reports. Fans rejoiced, but this news was definitely unexpected.
For some time, it was believed that Caila Quinn, who left this season of The Bachelor as third runner-up, would be our next Bachelorette. In fact, she was even spotted filming around her hometown of Hudson, Ohio, on March 4.
According to US Weekly, it’s likely that fan reaction was what caused this switcheroo, with many taking to social media to protest the pick of Caila after rumors started surfacing of her return to the spotlight. However, others are equally as upset about this choice, since Caila (who is half Filipina) would have been the first multiracial Bachelorette to appear on the show.
We’ll have to keep our eyes and ears open to see how it all unfolds!
