John Oliver told Donald Trump and Billy Bush *exactly* what they needed to hear about that awful tape

On Last Week Tonight, everyone’s fave John Oliver called out Donald Trump and Billy Bush for their horrifying and blatant misogyny and said basically what everyone’s been thinking. We’ve been disturbed like no other ever since we heard Trump’s awful words, and Bush’s support, and we’re just happy to see people calling out this awfulness for what it is.
ICYMI, here are the comments in question from the recording shared by The Washington Post of the Republican presidential nominee openly discussing sexual violence. On the leaked tape, Trump said,
“Then all of a sudden I see her, she’s now got the big phony tits and everything. She’s totally changed her look… I did try and f— her. She was married, he said, adding that he could “grab [women] by the p—- whenever he wanted, because “when you’re a star, they let you do it.
Basically, Trump said it’s fine to sexually assault women, and that he’s done it before and gotten away with it because of his celeb-status. We remain straight up disgusted. And so is John Oliver, who called out Donald Trump’s horrifying comments.
Oliver explained,
“Last Sunday, I told you if you looked above the clouds you would see rock bottom, but if you look up there now, said Oliver, “all the way up high, you will see, right there in the distance, where we were last week. We have sunk so low, we are breaking through the earth’s crust, where drowning in hot magma will come as sweet relief.
Too, though, Oliver calls out those who are only just now stepping away from Trump and removing their support for the candidate. The only reason it would be only to just now be doing so?
"[If] you were cryogenically frozen until Friday afternoon, and that Access Hollywood tape was the first thing you saw.
Mic. Drop.
