John Mayer turned into a beauty vlogger on Snapchat and it’s pretty hilarious

Beauty vloggers have made quite a difference in the world. If you’re looking for a solid suggestion on what face cream to buy, or if you seriously need some tips on how to use liquid eyeliner that won’t leave you raccoon-eyed and half-blind, YouTube masters are always there with tutorials and suggestions. When you’re recalling your fave vloggers, surely John Mayer doesn’t come to mind. I mean, the guy has great skin — but we know him best for his guitar skills.

But it turns out, Mayer posted a pretty detailed skin care tutorial on his Snapchat Wednesday night, giving fans some insight on his go-to skin care hacks.

First, Mayer suggests putting product directly on your face. He’s named this method the Direct Application Technique, or for short, D.A.T.

Second, you should know that eye moisturizer is like a way better version of face moisturizer, so totally put it everywhere. Mayer is big on lotions, it seems.

Next, you’ll want to work on your laugh lines. In Mayer’s eyes, keeping them in check is kinda-sorta the best way to keep looking young and fresh. Mayer douses his with a healthy mixture of Vitamin C and E complex.

Mayer then uses his favorite cream of all time — Natura Bissé’s Diamond Extreme — and makes sure to put it where his face needs the most work. He calls these the “Crucial Necessity Zones,” and Mayer seems super specific about where they are. Application is via Q-Tip by the way, if you choose to follow his routine at home.
