In best thing ever, John Mayer performed a Beyoncé cover at Danielle Fishel’s wedding

Our favorite ‘90s It Girl Danielle Fishel, best known as Topanga Lawrence from Boy Meets World, wed TV producer Jensen Karp over the weekend. Among the attendees? John Mayer, who served as a groomsman and performed a cover of Beyoncé’s “XO” for the couple’s first dance. Fishel took to Instagram on November 5th to share a clip of Mayer, and she penned the sweetest caption about the singer.

“Jensen brought many new and wonderful friends into my life and the friendship of @johnmayer is at the top of the list,” Fishel wrote.“His immense talent is only overshadowed by his humor, his heart, his sincerity, his loyalty, his candor, and his generous spirit. We are beyond grateful and thrilled that he was not only a groomsman but agreed to sing our first dance song.”

She added: “I'm obsessed with his cover of this song (XO by @beyoncé) and he played it for us live at the Forum last year simply because I told him how much I loved it. Thank you, John, for all of it."

Our hearts.

Fishel wed Karp on Sunday, November 4th (one day before her fictional wedding anniversary to Cory Matthews!) at the Carondelet House in Los Angeles. Her Boy Meets World co-stars Ben Savage and Will Friedle were also in attendance. Friedle even shared a hilarious photo with Savage—in which photobombed by Mayer.

The couple shared stunning photos from their nuptials on Instagram. In a November 5th post, Karp gushed, “Today I married my soulmate. We were surrounded by family and friends and it was the best day of my life. I also ate 3 donuts after dinner. Unrelated. @daniellefishel, I love you so much and thank you for giving me this smile.”

We love their love almost as much as we love Cory Matthews and Topanga Lawrence. And that’s really saying something.
