John Legend and so many other artists will be contributing music for a Planned Parenthood box set

Want to help give back in an amazing (and musical) way? Well, you’re in luck. Artists like John Legend will be contributing music for Planned Parenthood in order to raise some money for the organization. And if you’re not into Legend (which is tough to believe, but hey — we’re not judging) a bunch of other incredibly talented musicians will also be taking part.

All of the contributions will either be unreleased, or brand new. And of course, they’ll go out to the public in a pretty cool way. A lot of the songs will be released digitally first, and then a seven-inch vinyl box set will be available for purchase. Worth having? You bet.

If that’s not enough, the promo video for the set is hilarious.

Yep, that’s Zach Galifianakis — he’s also helping out with the set by contributing a little bit of comedy.

Besides Legend, Galifianakis, and St. Vincent — who also appeared in the video — the vinyl will include Common, Foo Fighters, Elliott Smith, Feist, Sarah Silverman, and Laurie Anderson. Sharon Van Etten, Bon Iver, Feist, and Bjork will also be contributing music, according to Rolling Stone.

The set, called “7-inches for Planned Parenthood,” will offer 100% of its donations to the organization, which is continuously threatened.

“If they succeed, millions of Americans will lose access to basic health services, including STD testing and treatment, birth control, and life-saving cancer screenings. 7-inches for Planned Parenthood is a response to this threat,” said the team behind the set.

We can’t wait to hear the songs, and think this is such a creatively original way to support the cause!
