John Krasinski pulled a Jim Halpert-level prank on co-star Jenna Fischer, and our jaws dropped when we saw who helped
On June 12th, the Boston Bruins took on the St. Louis Blues in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup final—aka the biggest night in hockey. Fans all over the country picked sides, including former Office costars John Krasinski (Jim Halpert), a Bruins boy through and through, and Jenna Fischer (Pam Beesley), a true-blue Blues fan. In fact, Krasinski and Fischer’s rivalry may have been more powerful than the one between the actual hockey teams.
Leading up to Game 7, Krasinski and Fischer fired shots back and forth on Twitter, promoting their love for their respective teams. Last night, however, Krasinski put the final nail in the coffin while attending the game at Boston’s TD Garden. He pranked Fischer with the help of someone so unexpected we honestly had to triple take.
Krasinski recruited David Denman, who played Pam’s shmuck of an ex-fiancé, Roy, on The Office. It was brutal.
The first fire tweet of the night came from Fischer, who shared a photo of she and Krasinski photoshopped into their opposing team jerseys. “It all comes down to tonight. Game 7. #LetsGoBlues #StanleyCup #Gloria #TeamPam,” she captioned the shot.

And then Krasinski did this…and our jaws are still on the floor.

Denman’s emotionless “Oh…hey,” to Krasinski’s “This is Jenna, by the way,” has shaken us to our core.
If you remember Episode 7 of Season 2, then you’ll understand why this prank was especially cruel. In that Office episode, Pam reveals that her worst date was actually with her then-fiancé Roy, who took her to a minor league hockey game and mistakenly left her there when she went to the bathroom.
Ha. Ha. Ha. Well played. Just be careful he doesn't leave you at the game. #GoBlues @NHL @David_Denman https://t.co/JtlCnqloxU

We’re freaking out.
Of course, Office fans were eating up this Twitter war like no tomorrow. Who cares about the Stanley Cup when Jim and Pam are hardcore pranking each other on social media?

Steve Carell, who played Michael Scott and is a big Bruins fan, jumped into the melee.

Stanley even made an appearance—a very appropriate appearance, at that.

Ultimately, Fischer had the last laugh, though. The St. Louis Blues took home the Stanley Cup.
It’s only a matter of time before Fischer and Krasinski’s teams face off again. And Krasinski will be ready to strike back. “Next time Fischer… next time,” he tweeted after the game.
Well, a big congrats to everyone in St. Louis. A tough loss, but a momentous occasion! Great series! Next time Fischer… next time. @NHL #StanleyCup https://t.co/o5FnBOmXiL

For the sake of Fischer’s sanity, let’s just hope Denman stays out of Krasinski’s next prank.
