Joe Biden’s favorite meme of him and Barack Obama might be our fave too

Barack Obama and Joe Biden. Sigh. It’s impossible to put into words just how much we miss these two. As you might recall, to soften the blow from their departure, the internet decided to commemorate their sweet friendship with dozens of memes that we can look at wistfully from time to time when we’re feeling sad. While Obama once acknowledged the internet’s obsession with their “bromance” in a speech, the ex-VP hasn’t said much about it — until now. Apparently, Biden LOVED the memes and even has a favorite! Yee!

In a recent interview with Moneyish, Biden’s daughter, Ashley, said that she was the one who introduced her father to the delightful memes. His reaction? He “sat there for an hour and laughed.”

Yass!

And his favorite? It’s this heart-warming meme about Joe wanting to keep their relationship going strong after the presidency.

And how could we forget this one? false

If you don’t recall, before the pair left the White House, Obama surprised his VP with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, which is the highest award available to a civilian in the U.S. Biden was so moved that he had to turn away from the crowd and the cameras upon finding out and spent the entire ceremony fighting back tears.

Obama called Biden “the best VP America has ever had,” and explained to Biden that he deserved the award because: “[of your] faith in your fellow Americans, for your love of country, and a lifetime of service that will endure through the generations.” We seriously tear up every time we watch this video.

We LOVE that Joe Biden got a kick out of these memes. We hope that we see more of these two very soon.
