J.K. Rowling’s tweet shows how Orlando shooting victims are being remembered by the “Cursed Child”

In the aftermath of the tragic and senseless shooting in Orlando, the world has been grieving for not only the victims, but the LGBTQ community as a whole. Celebrities like Lady Gaga have also been sharing their condolences and grief, including J.K. Rowling, who learned that victim Luis Vielma worked at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Yesterday, she also took the time to tweet remembrance of the victims from the Cursed Child venue in London.

Just last week, a select audience was spellbound after previewing Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which is officially open to the public on July 31st. Though it’s been a busy time for the cast and crew of the play, they chose to remember the victims of the Orlando shooting in a special way — by displaying the rainbow pride flag in front of the Palace Theater.

J.K. tweeted a picture of the venue’s new addition, hashtagging the tweet with #LoveIsLove and #OrlandoLove. false

Yesterday J.K. also tweeted a picture of Luis Vielma, who operated the “Forbidden Journey” ride. “He was 22 years old,” J.K. wrote in her now-pinned tweet. “I can’t stop crying.”
