Jimmy Kimmel helps ‘The X-Files’ adjust to the 21st century

The X-Files is coming back, and people are so excited that the adventures of Mulder and Scully aren’t quite over. However, it’s been almost fifteen years since their last investigation, and a lot has changed. That couldn’t be more apparent in this clip from Jimmy Kimmel Live last night when he joined the duo on their first case since the hiatus.

Get ready for all that 90s goodness: phones with super-long antennas, dial-up, floppy disks — it’s a wonder anything got done before the smartphones and Internet Jimmy introduces them to. Unsurprisingly, the characters have some trouble adjusting to the new decade. If people don’t still care about the 90s, they ask, then do they still care about The X-Files?

Of course they do, and the hilariousness of this clip proves it. We can’t wait to see what Mulder and Scully get up to when the show returns to FOX on January 24th. Until then, you can get a taste of their reunion below!
