Jimmy Kimmel just showed the world what he thinks of that “Jimmy Kimmel Estrogen Hour” bench ad
Jimmy Kimmel directly addressed gun violence on his show, Jimmy Kimmel Live! last week in the wake of the horrific Las Vegas shooting. His response was a moving call to action and a plea for bette gun control laws. Las Vegas is Kimmel’s hometown, so he became emotional over the issue several times. Someone decided that Kimmel’s tears over the loss of 59 lives were worthy of mockery, however, and made up fake ads on benches for the “Jimmy Kimmel Estrogen Hour.” But Kimmel has faced this criticism before, regarding his plea for affordable healthcare following the birth of his son.
Jimmy Kimmel wasn’t that impressed by the mocking ads.
And a photo circulated of him giving his wordless response to them, shared by Kristen Bell on Twitter.
I'll Co-host an estrogen tour with you any day @jimmykimmel because to be clear: takes a REAL man to cry in public. ❤️ pic.twitter.com/c9INc6V70q

We’d watch these two pair up any day. Jimmy also addressed the response to his monologue with a tweet that included a link to donate to Everytown for Gun Safety.
Dear crazies: it is fascinating that 500 innocent people get shot and your anger is directed at me. Think about that https://t.co/TTMxEcjdbZ

If you missed it, Kimmel’s monologue called out our elected leaders for their failure to act on reasonable gun control legislation.
He even displayed a screen filled with the faces of every elected leader who took money from the gun lobby. He had these pointed words to say.
“President Trump is visiting Las Vegas on Wednesday. He spoke this morning, he said he was praying for those who lost their lives. You know, in February, he also signed a bill that made it easier for people with severe mental illness to buy guns legally. The Senate majority leader, Mitch McConnell, the speaker of the House, Paul Ryan, a number of other lawmakers who won’t do anything about this because the N.R.A. has their balls in a money clip, also sent their thoughts and their prayers today — which is good. They should be praying. They should be praying for God to forgive them for letting the gun lobby run this country. Because it is, it is so crazy.
Jimmy’s not going to apologize for being moved to tears over tragedy, and it’s ridiculous to think that makes him worthy of mockery. We’re glad to see him standing up for things that are important, and not acting like men crying is something to be ashamed of.
