Jimmy Fallon’s first promo for the Golden Globes brings us so much holiday cheer
Whether or not he realizes it, he’s pretty much the poster child for the holidays. So as we all expected, Jimmy Fallon’s new promo for the Golden Globes really brings the cheer.
Think about Fallon and Christmas for a moment or two. He’s proven that he’s fond of the ugly sweater based on in-house contests on The Tonight Show (and back in the day, Late Night), hosted the holiday episode of SNL few years back, and is a key member of the “I Wish It Was Christmas Today” sketch, also featuring Tracy Morgan, Horatio Sanz, and Chris Kattan.
This time, Fallon drummed up some holiday spirit with buddy Questlove while announcing that he’d be hosting the Globes in 2017, a job he’s more than qualified for.

The “Old Globs” show will be airing on January 8th, and it’s bound to be a fun event.
We’re also loving the fact that this promo is totally paying tribute to one of our favorite holiday movies ever, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.

This isn’t Fallon’s first time hosting a show. Let’s all travel back in time to 2001, when he hosted the MTV Movie Awards with Kirsten Dunst.
(Of course, he’s done a ton of hosting since then, but that night was pretty legendary.)
This will be the 74th year of the Golden Globes, and the recipient of the Cecil B. deMille Award this upcoming year will be the very deserving Meryl Streep. We can’t wait to see who else ends up winning big!
