Everyone is sharing their biggest #WeddingFail on Twitter, and OMG, someone’s mother attended in a wedding dress
Your wedding day is supposed to be the happiest day of your life. You spend months (sometimes years) planning, and you put down thousands for your dress, flowers, location, photographer—the list goes on. As a result, when something goes wrong, it becomes a memorable moment. So when Jimmy Fallon asked viewers to share their biggest #WeddingFail moments on Twitter, we expected a lot of cringe—but we also got a lot of laughs.
At least these brides and grooms have great senses of humor.
“It’s Hashtags time! Tag a tweet with #WeddingFail and then tell us a funny or weird story from a wedding you were at,” Fallon tweeted on June 18th. “Could be on the show!”
The wedding day horror stories began to flood in.

Everyone loves some good slapstick comedy—it’s hard not to laugh when someone takes a tumble. However, when you fall down while everyone you’ve ever known is watching, the embarrassment is hard to shake.
Tried to be romantic and carry my wife out of the ceremony. Luckily, this was after she said “I do.” #weddingfail pic.twitter.com/8CBMLKsfcN

During our first dance I kept telling my husband that every time he twirled me, I was slipping on my dress. He twirled me one last time and I took a tumble. My first thought was to just start spinning, so my husband joined me on the ground. #weddingfail pic.twitter.com/yCyNsm9yHJ

That collective “OH!” made our jaw drop.
At my wedding reception, my little brother was doing his thing on the dance floor as the bridal party entered. The crowd energy gave him too much confidence and this #WeddingFail happened… pic.twitter.com/jvZq22E5h5

If you ended up breaking the dance floor, at least you know you were having a bomb AF time at your wedding.

And yeah—if you’re having a summer wedding, someone is bound to pass out up there.
My brother in law wore three undershirts in the middle of summer because he didn’t want to sweat through his tux. This happened. #weddingfail pic.twitter.com/wuGL1N4Adc

Then we have the unavoidable family zingers.
Worst wedding fail for me was moments before waking down the isle my grandmother told me I was going to hell because I had a living spouse (having been divorced)….i told her I hadn't had enough time to kill him, YET. #WeddingFail

Accompanied by some classic wedding day drama. Really, mom?
My mother-in-law wore a wedding dress to my wedding. So, yeah, top that one, Twitter. #weddingfail @jimmyfallon pic.twitter.com/IjqvnXT6Ps

Before my wedding, the best man told me I shouldn’t marry his best friend. I never got along with the best man and, of course, got married. Now, I’m divorced from my first husband and I’m now happily married to the former best man. I guess I should have listened! #WeddingFail

At a friends wedding reception it was very windy and the groom got blown off the cake and well it looked like he had jumped off and ran away and she’s waving bye Felicia! #weddingfail pic.twitter.com/KijWcDLi6W

#WeddingFail I got so nervous that I completely forgot my bouquet until the ceremony was over. But worst of all, my husband wore a Minions bandaid in all our pictures. pic.twitter.com/sd7AZfwxUR

But honestly, some of these replies are just straight #WeddingWins.
I was at a wedding that broke out the Harlem Shake in the middle of the ceremony! An usher put it on YouTube and it went viral. https://t.co/E0SGteSHWk#weddingfail

At my wedding, my sis spilled a glass of red wine all over my wedding dress. Only 2 people there knew how to get rid of the stain – both chemical engineers. I decided right then what I wanted to do with my life; now I’m getting my PhD in engineering. #weddingfail #careerwin

It wouldn’t be a great wedding without a little glitch along the way, right? If you have a #WeddingFail, share it with the class. It might even make it onto The Tonight Show for the entire world to see.
