Jimmy Fallon got to play with the new Nintendo Switch last night, and now we can’t wait to get one

It seems like Nintendo has been part of our lives for — well — forever. And judging by what we saw last night on The Tonight Show, their newest product is cooler than ever. During the show, Jimmy Fallon played with a Nintendo Switch, and demonstrated how it’s different from other gaming systems of the past.

But first, he got to be one of the first people to play Super Mario Run, which is scheduled to be released sometime this month for mobile.

"For the very first time, we're bring Mario to mobile devices," said Reggie Fils-Aimé, the president of Nintendo of America.

We’re pretty excited by this — after all, Mario is an icon. Apple Stores will have a demo of the game available today.

Then, of course, he brought out the Nintendo Switch, and had Fallon play The Legend of Zelda. To add to the intimidation level, the creator of Zelda, Shigeru Miyamoto, was watching from the audience.

Fallon seemed genuinely surprised when the Switch was unveiled in front of his very eyes. Just by looking at it, it looks like a pretty solid system.

Fallon admitted that he was totally geeking out by the opportunity. Just watching how he reacts when he sees Link on stage is pretty amazing.

The cool part about the Nintendo Switch, is that it allows you to take your game with you. It’s pretty much a console within a console, which is pretty neat. As Fallon says, it’s a total game-changer.

The Nintendo Switch will be available this upcoming March, and we know gamers everywhere will want to get their hands on one.
