Jim Parsons is celebrating his 14th anniversary with boyfriend Todd Spiewak, proving that love *does* exist

Hollywood romances are often tough to maintain. One actor, however, is totally proving to be a dating all-star. The Big Bang Theory‘s Jim Parsons is celebrating 14 years with his boyfriend, Todd Spiewak, and we think that’s pretty darn incredible. Just think about what you were doing 14 years ago, and how much has happened since.

Parsons officially came out to the public in May of 2012, and of course his fans were accepting of his orientation. The part that truly shocked them was that he was already ten years in with Spiewak at that point, thus avoiding any kind of messy tabloid stories about breakups, heartache, or even rumors. The two just kept to themselves, and maintained an extremely happy and loving relationship. We’re pretty envious.

Not only are they adorable together, but united, they recognize that karaoke dates are so fourteen years ago.

Parsons recognizes the history of the date by noting one big technological change since the photo was originally taken.

"Also, I believe this was a selfie with an actual camera, as our phones couldn't do that back then hahaha!" he noted. Remember when we all lugged around digital cameras when we went out? Crazy times back then.

While they’re obviously committed to each other, Parsons told Ellen DeGeneres way back in 2014 that marriage might not be in the cards. While it’d be a beautiful ceremony, it’s just not something that — at least, back then — held a lot of significance for Parsons.

"I feel like I haven’t been enthusiastic enough about it and now I feel like I’m a loser for the cause," he said.

Marriage or not, the relationship these two have is so heartwarming.
