Jessica Simpson’s punny twist on her “Grease” costume for Halloween is making us laugh forever
For those of us Halloween-heads, the upside of the beginning of November is seeing the myriad of celebrity Halloween costumes on our social media feeds. And our spirits (get it?) were definitely lifted at the sight of Jessica Simpson’s, and husband, Eric Johnson’s costumes. Simpson and Johnson dressed as Sandra D. and Danny Zuko from everyone’s favorite film musical, Grease.
Simpson and Johnson definitely aren’t the first couple to take on these cult classic characters. But the dedication the two put into the recreation, surely paid off. We’re LOLing at Simpson’s hilarious “Double Dee” spin, and her huge blonde wig. And Danny Zuko himself would approve of Johnson’s white socks and perfectly quaffed hair.
Simpson posted the photo of herself and her hubby in “greaser-stance” yesterday, adding the hashtag #AboutLastNight.
Simpson also shared a photo on Instagram of the whole costumed family. She captioned the photo, “When your kids are old enough to choose their own costumes …#HappyHalloween from my parrot & octopus!”
Their daughter Maxwell is a rainbow vision in her parrot costume, complete with rainbow eyeshadow and boa. And son, Ace, got creative with his octopus costume. Way to go kids! Stepping out of the superhero and princess box!
A few other couples paid homage to Sandy and Danny. Model, Kate Upton and beau, Justin Verlander also dressed as the Grease couple, evening managing to ~kind of~ nail the final dance number!
And the Don’t Be Tardy for the Wedding star, Kim Zolciak-Biermann, dressed her twins as Rydell High’s most famous class couple. Look at Kaia’s adorable red Mary-Janes. We want a pair for ourselves this instant!
As long as Danny and Sandy are driving around in Greased Lightening somewhere up in the atmosphere, they will never go out of style. Kudos to the celebs who rocked their look this year. We think Simpson’s Double Dee just inspired another whole crop of Sandy’s for next year’s Halloween festivities.
