Jessica Chastain and Bryce Dallas Howard are on a social media mission to prove they’re different people

There are some celebs who seriously look like twins. Truly, it’s insane. For example, there’s Amy Adams and Isla Fisher . . . Javier Bardem and Jeffrey Dean Morgan . . . Minka Kelly and Leighton Meester.

But there’s one celeb pairing that even we’ve flubbed up a billion times, because their resemblance is seriously freaky. Now, who would that be? It’s Jessica Chastain and Bryce Dallas Howard. Not only are they both known for their beautiful red hair, but they have strikingly similar facial features. So we’ll give you a little test. We’re going to post two pictures below. Which one is Jessica, and which one is Bryce?

If you answered Bryce and then Jessica, you are correct! It’s easier when they have different shades of red, but it can get so darn confusing. Well now Bryce and Jessica are out to clear up the confusion a little bit for us via a hilarious social media campaign.

It all started with Jessica tweeting this picture at the end of May, featuring the two looking indignant — Jessica saying “People still think we are the same person?!” and Bryce saying “IKR!” “True story. #BryceDallasHoward is in #JurassicWorld”:

But then, just in case people weren’t getting it, Jessica posted a video on her Facebook page yesterday. It appears to be her with sunglasses on, until she takes them off and we realize that it’s actually Bryce! DUN DUN DUN. “But it’s time I put an end to the confusioooonnnnn. . .” Bryce sings. “I am not Jessica Chastain!” Here’s the link, because it’s amazing.

OK, so she’s not actually singing here — she’s dubsmashing along to a fan-made video by YouTube user LegoLambs. PS the video is called “Jessica Chastain: The Musical,” and it’s totally hilarious and chronicles the struggles of Bryce Dallas Howard singing about how everyone thinks she’s Jessica Chastain. (You should watch the whole thing here, because we love it.)

We somehow don’t think Jessica Chastain and Bryce Dallas Howard are *actually* salty about being confused for one another (um, can someone please confuse ME for either of them?), but we love how they’re poking fun at the situation. Doppelgangers are seriously crazy things, and it’s always fun when celebs notice opinions of their fans and address them. The only real way we think the confusion would stop is if one of them dyed their hair. On second thought, we love the red hair too much to wish it away.

Thanks for making us giggle, ladies!
