Jessica Biel admits that she wasn’t an *NSYNC fan as a teenager
We were certified *NSYNC fans back in the late ’90s/early 2000s. We had posters, CDs, and listened to our “Bye Bye Bye” HitClip until it burnt out. But one famous actress didn’t spend her teen years debating with friends about who was hotter — Justin or JC? Justin Timberlake’s own wife, Jessica Biel, was definitely not an *NSYNC fan.
Biel hopped onto Reddit earlier today to take part in an “Ask Me Anything” interview with Reddit users. One user asked whether Biel was more of an *NSYNC or Backstreet Boys fan (and requested for her to not take into consideration who she’s married to when answering).
"I was such a theater nerd at that time that I literally wasn't listening to either of those groups," Biel replied. "I was listening to soundtracks, like Rent and old 50's/60's music. I can be a little off on my timing. But if I had been cool, DUH, *NSYNC all the way, baby!"
We’re with you, Jessica. Listen, if we could have gotten our hands on a “La Vie Boheme” HitClip, “Bye Bye Bye” would have had some stiff competition.
And if Timberlake had any doubt that Biel married him because of his former boyband fame, her answer proves that it’s rooted in true love and not a teenage dream brought to life.
But, we all kind of knew that anyway…
We learned a lot about Biel from her AMA interview. She’s totally not jealous of her husband’s relationship with Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon. And when asked what her stance is on the existence of aliens, Biel replied,
"They're listening and watching right now. I can't answer this question."
Even though Biel can’t answer us about aliens, we’re glad we know her stance (or lack thereof) on the “who’s better: *NSYNC vs. Backstreet Boys” debate.
