Jessica Alba shared how she’ll choose her new baby’s name, and it’s so sweet
Jessica Alba’s third baby is on the way! Excited about her baby-to-be with husband Cash Warren, Jessica Alba talked baby names and motherhood with Jimmy Fallon on Friday’s Tonight Show.
While her maternity style has come back in full force, she admits she doesn’t remember any of those late nights with babies crying, changing dirty diapers, or strollers. Which makes sense, because it’s been a few years! Her older daughters, Honor and Haven, are now nine and five years old.
“I have amnesia about having a baby, which is why I think I allowed this to happen, Alba, 36, joked during her first appearance since announcing the big news on Instagram.
When it comes to baby names though, Alba has a plan.
“So my husband’s name is Cash, that’s his actual real name, so our kids had to have unusual names, she explained.
Additionally, she said the name should start with an “H” and be a double syllable, like her daughters Honor Marie and Haven Garner.
“It can’t be too weird. Like a little unusual, [but] what if they want to be a nurse? Alba said.
Fallon attempted to help the Honest Company co-founder out with names, and failed hilariously.
From “Herman” and “heart” to a completely off-kilter suggestion of “Willy Warren,” Alba rejected them all, especially the last one.
“That’s just terrible, Alba told the comedian. “Like he’s never gonna get laid.
Baby-naming experts we may not be, but we can give it a shot. There’s Harper or Hawthorne if Alba wants to be poetic with writer-inspired names. Hamlet would bring the ultimate drama.
How about Hamilton? Yes, yes, it’s three syllables, but c’mon. It’s a hit musical for our generation and a renowned historical name.
And there’s always Honey for the ultimate throwback.
Whatever Alba picks, one of our names or her own, we’re sure it’ll be a perfect fit.
