Jesse Eisenberg makes a fierce Lex Luthor in ‘Batman vs Superman’
When you think of Jesse Eisenberg, you probably think of curly hair and Facebook and awesome talent and a bunch of other cool things. But evil mastermind is, like, the last thing that comes to mind. That’s about to change. Duh, duh, duh.
Eisenberg plays evil genius Lex Luthor in the upcoming Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice movie, and we just got a sneak peak at Eisenberg in character, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly.
OK, we see it now. . .
Batman Vs. Superman is going to be kind of a big deal, by the way. It’s a superhero mash-up starring everyone from Gal Gadot (as Wonder Woman) to Ben Affleck (as the Dark Knight), along with Amy Adams, Holly Hunter, Jeremy Irons and Henry Cavill (aka Superman) thrown in for good measure.
Director Zach Snyder just gave EW some hints as to what we can expect when Eisenberg’s Lex arrives on the screen. “He’s not any of the Lexes that you’ve seen, that’s for sure. . . other than him being a captain of industry and one person to the world and another person to himself. And bald, of course.”
Of course.
Playing evil mastermind Lex Luthor is not an easy task. I mean, in the last Superman movie, he was played by none other than Kevin Spacey, who is now being all sorts of evil on House of Cards. Now Eisenberg is stepping up to the plate and after this sneak peek, we are so ready to be spooked by him, in a good way. We’re ready, alright, but we’ve got a long wait.
Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice opens exactly a year from today, March 25th, 2016. The next 365 days are going to be brutal.
