So what’s the deal with all this Jerry Seinfeld comedy coming to Netflix, anyway?
We’ll soon be able to see a lot more of the iconic funnyman, Jerry Seinfeld. Thanks to a major deal with Netflix, he’ll be bringing tons of his signature comedy right to your living room.
Netflix and the comedian announced that Seinfeld has signed on for two stand up specials with the streaming service.
But we won’t just get the opportunity to see Seinfeld do new, original stand up. He is also making all his Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee series available for streaming, too. The series was originally available on Crackle. But as of late 2017, it will switch over to Netflix.
Oh, and Netflix also ordered a bunch of *new* episodes of Comedians in Cars.
Netflix has been upping their comedy game big-time lately. They recently ordered two original Chris Rock comedy specials. And, of course, the wonderful Amy Schumer’s next comedy special will be available on the streaming service.
Basically, if you want to watch something hilarious, Netflix has your back.
Seinfeld’s relationship with Netflix will be more ongoing than just these comedy specials. On top of all this programming, he’s going to help Netflix develop more scripted and unscripted comedy shows. But, if you want to watch the classic Seinfeld sitcom, you still need to head over to Hulu.
The first Netflix Seinfeld stand up special will be available later this year.
And, from the sounds of it, that’s only the beginning of a longterm relationship between these two entertainment powerhouses.
