Jenny Slate is posting messages about post-breakup self care that all of us can learn from
Famous or not, breakups are the goddamn worst.
And Jenny Slate, who just broke up with Chris Evans less than a year after she announced her divorce from her ex-husband of four years, Dean Fleischer-Camp, is pretty freaking famous. Right now, Slate is focusing on her own self-care — and posting messages of healing online to take us through her journey.
“Nothing much is hidden in me I am easily affected&thats why I have to be thoughtful about where I place myself& who I see, bc it all gets in,” she tweeted on Wednesday morning.

It’s a tweet all of us could learn from, since obsessively checking our messages — even when it’s not good for us — is a basic instinct we all seem to have in 2k17.
Even better, though, is the fact that Slate packed up her things and left for Iceland with a girlfriend — and from the looks of things, she’s having the time of her life.

“It is a very lucky thing if u can have a life experience that makes you you again or fresh again or just simply content,” she captioned another shot.

“My heart is filled with fresh and and new bright lights and major Nordic fairytale stuff,” she captioned another.
Basically, Slate is doing everything in her power to heal and become a stronger person after a crappy couple of weeks. And we’re here for it.
