Jennifer Lopez and James Corden danced with toddlers, and one of them totally killed it

When it comes to dancing, Jennifer Lopez has years of slayage under her belt, but can she take direction from a kid? James Corden and Jennifer Lopez took a toddler-led dance class during The Late Late Show Carpool Karaoke Primetime special to put their skills to the test, and let’s just say the tiny, terrifying teachers didn’t take it easy on their students. Corden’s infamous toddlerography segment has previously challenged celebs like Jason Derulo and Kate Hudson, who both totally rocked the dance floor. Needless to say, J. Lo was no exception.
Because Lopez has been dominating dance battles since her days as the Fly Girl on In Living Color, we weren’t at all shocked to see she came to the studio ready to work.
Clad in a cropped sweatshirt, black tights and glittery sneakers, J. Lo shrugged off Corden’s warning about the terrifying toddler dance instructors.
“I know you think you’re a great dancer, but this class is going to make you rethink everything you thought you knew about dance,” Corden said, adding, “The instructors are nightmares.”
And he was right because the toddlers didn’t take it easy on her. Throughout the dance session, the instructors challenged Corden and J. Lo to show us what they’re really made of. Some of the more complex moves involved extensive wriggling, writhing and running around the dance floor to Lopez and Pitbull’s hit song, “On the Floor.”
One little girl (who obviously has a future in choreography) even hit a mini-jump split that J. Lo mimicked like a pro.
On the other hand, Corden found these dance moves to be a little more challenging.

Oof. That was rough, but that looked like one hell of a cardio sesh. We’ll keep our eyes peeled for a line of workout DVDs starring J. Lo and these toddlers because Corden probably prefers to stick to his day job.
