We love Jennifer Lawrence’s new cool, casual, and feminist Dior campaign
Never one to remain shy or soft-spoken, Jennifer Lawrence is making an unabashedly feminist statement in her latest Dior campaign. And much like the enchanting actress herself, these hot new ads are absolutely ~electrifying.~
As her first campaign with Dior’s newly minted creative director, Maria Grazia Chuiri, JLaw’s latest stint in front of the camera is basically a match made in heaven. For starters, both she and Chuiri are go-getter feminists on the top of their game in their respective professions. And with famed female photographer Brigitte Lacombe capturing the campaign, these high-fashion photos pack a healthy punch of attitude and raw elegance all at once.
In the ads series, Jennifer rocks Dior’s massively popular “We Should All Be Feminists” t-shirt that Maria introduced last fall (the proceeds of which benefit Rihanna’s nonprofit, the Clara Lionel Foundation). Styled minimally with cropped flare jeans, a sleek black blazer, and ample accessories, the black and white snapshots showcase the brand’s new casual-cool, liberated feel.

Jeans and t-shirts appear to be the theme here, perfectly capturing the Dior spring collection’s relaxed and approachable persona.

These minimalist-yet-impactful ads are a clear departure from anything Dior’s done previously. Better known for their prim, polished, and overtly perfect pictures, the new Maria Grazia Chiuri-fied Dior appeals more to the street styling-loving, comfortable-conscious consumer.

While Jennifer’s been an official Dior darling since 2012 (and we’ve loved every single campaign she’s done since), these new ads are most certainly her most poignant. They capture her throw-caution-to-the-wind spirit and high-fashion vibe in one fell swoop.
Basically, these ads have us J’adore-ing Dior all over again!
