Jennifer Lawrence says motherhood is getting “less and less” appealing the older she gets
Although Jennifer Lawrence and director beau, Darren Aronofsky, seem to be going strong in their year-long relationship, Lawrence says motherhood is getting “less and less” appealing appealing the older she gets. To which we say: girl, you do you.
The 27-year-old actress talked to E! News‘ Catt Sadler about her most recent role in Aronofsky’s Mother! and how her personal “pangs of motherhood” are not as strong as they once were.
"[The motherhood pangs] are actually getting less and less as I get older, which is starting to worry me," Lawrence told Sadler. "I don't think that's how it's supposed to work!"
Perhaps the lessening of those pangs is due to her busy (and successful) acting career. Girl is on a roll and we see no signs of her slowing down. Or maybe she’s getting older and realizing what she wants (or doesn’t want) in life.
"When I was 21 or 22 I was like, 'I can't wait to be a mother,'" Lawrence continued. "Now I'm like..." (She white-knuckled the chair and gasped.)
In a 2015 interview with Diane Sawyer for ABC News, Lawrence expressed that she wasn’t sure if she’d ever get married, but she did see children in her future.

"I don't really plan on getting married," she said to Sawyer. "[But] I definitely want to be a mother. I don't really imagine getting married anymore."
Of course, opinions change as we grow up. So maybe Lawrence has simply changed her mind in the past two years.
Whatever the case may be, Lawrence certainly doesn’t have to make up her mind about motherhood any time soon.
