What Jennifer Lawrence has to say about the Kardashians might surprise you
Every member of the Kardashian family is in the spotlight. The world watches their every move. And because they’ve chosen to make their lives so incredibly public, people tend to forget that they’re still humans who are constantly under a lot of pressure.
None of the Kardashians seem to be too bothered by the potentially destructive affects of fame, but that doesn’t mean they’re not.
Jennifer Lawrence can totally relate to how the family must feel being under so much scrutiny and pressure all the time, even though it’s a life they’ve chosen.
While she was promoting her upcoming movie X-Men: Apocalypse she told E! News that she really feels for the family.
“I was crying about the Kardashians the other night,” Lawrence said. “They’re under a lot of pressure. Even if it’s elective, it’s pressure — and I get that!”
Lawrence is one of the most talked about movie stars in all of Earth, so it makes sense that she understands the negatives that come with fame. In an interview with Glamour back in February, Lawrence admitted that it took her a while to adjust to fame and the lack of privacy that comes along with it.
“It took a few years to adjust,” she said of being thrown into the spotlight after the first Hunger Games movie.
“I didn’t really realize how angry and distorted I felt. I still felt entitled to a certain life that I just wasn’t allowed to have [anymore]. I felt like I had the right to say, ‘I don’t want to be photographed right now, I don’t want people outside my house right now.’”
And she told Vogue last November that because of her fame, dating has been difficult. “I feel like I need to meet a guy, with all due respect, who has been living in Baghdad for five years who has no idea who I am,” she said.
Lawrence’s compassion for the Kardashians might be surprising, but when it comes to the spotlight, her life really isn’t that much different.
