Jennifer Lawrence revealed her biggest irrational fear, and now it’s our fear!

Usually the whole “biggest fear” thing is never all that surprising. Heights, public speaking, airplanes — there’s generally only a few things that actually make the list for most people.

Which is why we basically had to do a double take when Jennifer Lawrence revealed her biggest fear to Vanity Fair, because it was genuinely something we had never, ever heard before (like, ever). And um, it involves genitals. Hers, to be exact.

So, here’s how it all went down. J-Law sat down with VF for 128 secondsto answer some rapid-fire questions, like, “favorite dinner partner” (her dad) and “worst place to be stuck in a line” (bathroom, obviously!). Then came the question about her “biggest irrational fear,” and her face suddenly turned SUPER SERIOUS.

"My biggest irrational (hopefully) fear is going to be that the Zika virus is going to be the solution to over-population, and I don't know if you've ever read the Kurt Vonnegut short story where everybody has to take these pills that make your private parts feel like wet sponges — and then nobody can have sex and nobody can procreate."

And just when you were thinking it can’t get any worse… it does!

"And so by the time I'm older and I'm like, 'I think I want to be a  mother,' they're like, 'You can't. Your private part feels like a sponge.'"

Okay, so that’s officially horrifying, and we are now also irrationally afraid of it.

Let’s just all take a deep breath and remember that it’s irrational for a reason.

And at any rate. thanks for sharing your fear with us, J-Law. It’s nice to know that you’re human and you think about weird things just like the rest of us. Aaaaaand we’re gonna try really hard to not be scared about everything you just said, from this moment onward.
