Wait, is Jennifer Lawrence going to be Mystique in an upcoming “Guardians of the Galaxy” movie?

Jennifer Lawrence has been having a blast promoting her new film Passengers. Yet, she’s now given comic book fans everywhere something to think about. In a recent interview, we learned that Jennifer Lawrence wants a cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy. That’s right! And furthermore, she’s willing to bring back X-Men’s Mystique in order to do this. Now, while we know Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt have been having a blast pranking each other during their press tour, we can’t help but believe this is more than just another “joke” between the two.

First of all, here’s exactly what Jennifer Lawrence said about appearing on Guardians of the Galaxy.

"Oh my god, I would love to. I would choose that over doing another X-Men movie maybe. I won't be Mystique in the X-Men movies, but I would love to be Mystique in the Guardians of the Galaxy. I wonder if that can happen?"

Yes, Marvel, how can we make that happen?

Of course, it’s no secret that Jennifer Lawrence did not exactly love playing Mystique. Remember, to prepare for the role every day she had to stand still for seven hours while being coated with blue paint. That’s hardcore. As she told Entertainment Weekly,

“I love working with Bryan, and I love these movies. It’s just the paint...I’m like, ‘I can’t even pronounce this and that’s going in my nose? I’m breathing that?’

We get it. That sounds pretty intense. But Jennifer Lawrence would be willing to undergo all that torture just to be part of the Guardians of the Galaxy world.

Of course, the likelihood of the worlds merging is…small. But nevertheless, a fan can hope! We’d love to see what kind of shenanigans Chris Pratt’s team of misfits would get into. Especially with Jennifer Lawrence’s badass Mystique by their side!
