Here’s why you shouldn’t ask Jennifer Lawrence for a photo when you see her out (but we totally understand why)

This sounds crazy at first, but hear us out. Lesson to learn: Never ask Jennifer Lawrence for a photo when you see her out. Might sound rude of the actress, but we totally get why she turns some people down.

Lawrence spoke to Vanity Fair about getting approached for photos, and had a respectably real answer.

“You might think you know me, but when you approach me you’re a total stranger to me and I’m scared. I get very protective of my space,” Lawrence said. “It took me a long time to be able to do that. But if I’m eating dinner and somebody comes up and a flash goes off from someone’s iPhone camera, I am really rude to that person. Then other people at the restaurant will see and be like, ‘Oh, damn, I don’t want to do that.’ Privacy is a full-time job and I work very hard at it.”

Yep. We get it. Just because WE FREAKING LOVE HER doesn’t mean we get a free pass to get all in her space whenever/if ever we see her in public. She’s just a woman, living her life.

So, next time we see her walking down the street, we’ll just be like, “Hey, Jen, how you doing?” And then we’ll give her a big hug all casual like, since she’s our best friend.

Okay, not really. We’ll just admire from a distance, and respect her space, because, you know, do unto others…
