Jennifer Lawrence laughing at Emma Stone over the 2017 Oscars envelope mix-up is our new everything

Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone have a lot of things in common. They’re both young, beautiful, funny, and incredibly talented Oscar award-winning actresses. Oh, and they also happen to be the best of friends. The pair began their BFF-ship years back when they got each other’s numbers from mutual co-star Woody Harrelson. They texted for a year before they actually hung out in real life, which Lawrence claims is the friendship equivalent of The Notebook.

"She texted me that she got my number from Woody," Lawrence told Vanity Fair. "I replied, Fuck off!’ And we’ve been really good friends ever since. I feel like it was our version of The Notebook — 365 texts."

Lawrence also never misses an opportunity to poke fun at Stone, but all in the name of good ol’ friendship, of course! “If I wasn’t her biggest fan, I would’ve Tonya Harding’d her in the kneecaps,” she said.

Woah, brutal! But maybe not as brutal as when she laughed at Stone’s face on national television, and in the 2018 Oscars, no less. In his opening speech, host Jimmy Kimmel advised everyone to not stand right away if their name gets called, referring to the infamous envelope incident at last year’s Oscars, and Lawrence took it as an opportunity to mock Stone. Because she’s her best friend and she loves her dearly.

As you can see, Jennifer Lawrence could not control her laughter and literally pointed at Emma Stone’s face, because that’s what best friends do. They do not, for even a second, make you forget about your past mishaps.

Twitter weighed in on this iconic BFF moment, which frankly, is easily one of the best moments of the 2018 Oscars.

Lawrence and Stone aren’t nominated for any awards this year, but that didn’t stop them from serving sheer hilarity and entertainment. Now let’s see if they could ever top this meme-able moment.
