We finally got the first true couple pics of Jennifer Lawrence and Darren Aronofsky
It may have taken almost a year of secretive dating and filming an entire movie together from start to finish, but we finally have “couple” photos of Jennifer Lawrence and Darren Aronofsky. The actress and director duo posed together on Wednesday at the Radio City Music Hall premiere for their film, Mother!, and we’re like — jeez, finally.
Not only did the couple look like a modern day Cinderella and Prince Charming — Lawrence dressed in a white tulle gown and Aronofky in a dapper all-black suit — but they gushed to reporters about working together on Aronofsky’s latest thriller.
"I was such a huge fan of all of this work," Lawrence told People.com at the Wednesday night premiere of the film in New York City. "I just think he’s so bold and unafraid and that’s exactly what I saw. That’s exactly what I witnessed — even more so."
And when Lawrence agreed to be in Aronofsky’s psychological thriller, the writer and director didn’t realize what a force she would be.
"She just has so much talent," Aronofsky said about his girlfriend at the same event. "She’s a hurricane, a tornado and an earthquake of emotion and it just comes pouring out of her."
The two have stepped out on the red carpet together during Mother!‘s press tour before last night. But they’ve somehow evaded taking “couple” photos up until now, often sharing the frame with fellow Mother! stars Javier Bardem and Michelle Pfeiffer.
Way to be the third and fourth wheels, Javier and Pfeiffer! Kidding, of course, but still…
We knew the couple shots of Lawrence and Aronofsky were on their way, and our patience paid off. Like we expected, this pair is cute AF. We can’t wait to see more of them, and to see Mother! coming to theaters tomorrow, September 15th.
