Jennifer Hudson decided to do a karaoke contest for fun, but did she win?

Have you ever done a karaoke contest? Well, singer Jennifer Hudson entered a karaoke contest, because even professionals like to karaoke!

The real question is, did Hudson win? Of course she did, but the story is just too funny not to share.

When the 35-year-old actress was on the Graham Norton Show this week, she talked about her singing contest background. After the show’s host asked Hudson about a recent karaoke contest she entered, she told the hilarious tale.

It included a bowling alley, $75, and a dream!

"First of all, I started out singing in contests," Hudson told Graham Norton. "So me and my assistant, who is still my assistant to this day, as kids we would go and win all of the talent shows and we would split all the money and he would get 10 percent."

Even though this was a LONG time ago, the duo recently gave their winning streak one more test.

“So not too long ago we decided to try our hand at it again,” she explained. “We were in Florida, and we went to this random bowling alley and they so happened to have a karaoke contest. And I was like, ‘Ooh I’m feeling into this contest’ and [so I’ll] see if I can still [win].”

Not surprisingly, the Sandy Wexler actress did win first prize, which was money, and she was SO happy.

"I actually won," she continued. "They didn't know I was Jennifer Hudson and they were like, 'you just won $75,' and I was like, 'I just won $75?' And they said, 'Come back next week, it will be even more money.' And I was like, 'I will be back. I sure will.'"

This is too funny. What we wouldn’t give to have Hudson stop by our local dive bar and sing karaoke for us. It would be awesome, don’t you think?
