Jennifer Garner playing “Happy Birthday” to Reese Witherspoon on a saxophone is the blessing your timeline needed today

We don’t know how this happened, and we’re 100% NOT challenging it, but Jennifer Garner is the best person on Instagram. Full stop. What follows are words we never thought we’d utter, but here we are. Garner, in full marching band regalia, serenaded her friend Reese Witherspoon on her birthday with a saxophone performance. The Jenaissance is upon us.

The good people at BuzzFeed pointed out that Garner is a former band geek, and she talked about it at length on the DVD featurette (remember those?) for 13 Going on 30.

From her viral Oscar face, to her pet chickens, to her “pretend cooking show,” to her commitment to Girl Scout cookies — what did we do to deserve such a delightful comeback from Ms. Garner? The best part is that Garner refused to join Instagram for so long because she thought she had nothing interesting to share.

"What would I Instagram that people would want to see," she told People in 2014. "There is nothing I would put out that people would want to see. It’s probably best to stay away. They don’t want to see me and my mom friends after kindergarten drop-off.

Oh, how wrong she was.

Without much further ado, we give you Garner’s saxophone solo.

In case all this Instagram content has you jonesing for Garner’s acting talents, she’s set to star in a new HBO comedy written by Girls creators Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner. So sorry, Game of Thrones, but our future Sunday nights are all about Garner. Sorry, not actually sorry.
