Jennifer Aniston went on ‘SNL’ with a very serious request about her ‘Friends’ character

Saturday Night Live star Vanessa Bayer has made a name for herself in doing hilarious impersonations of people like Miley Cyrus and characters like Rachel Green, which she does in a recurring Weekend Update segment. Last Night Jennifer Aniston, who played Rachel for 10 seasons on the hit TV series Friends, made a surprise visit to Update to beg Bayer to stop doing the impression.

In the segment, Aniston pleaded with Bayer, Office Christmas Party co-star, who had been texting her for days to come visit, to end the impression, which she found to be dated.

Bayer as Rachel, complete with “the Rachel” hair style, was being interviewed by Update host Colin Jost about nostalgia for the ’90s and the various ongoing reboots of ’90s shows.

"The '90s are great, she said. “You go to work, you go on dates and you go to cafes with your friends and you all sit facing camera. Yeah.

Aniston interrupted and explained to Bayer that the impression doesn’t make sense in 2016 and that it’s time for Bayer to move on from her love of Friends. She explained,

"Friends was like, five million and five years ago, so I think we've just gotta move on.

Bayer, however, was hesitant to end the impression. Bayer said,

“I dunno. I just, I thought 'cause I do this great bit as Rachel, so."

Aniston responded,  “Is it a great bit though?”

Aniston began doing her own impression of Bayer’s impression of Rachel, to which Bayer joined in.

The whole segment was hilarious and we could tell that Jost was very amused by to duo. The segment is definitely worth a watch but we hope Bayer keeps doing her Rachel impression!
