Jennifer Aniston just said some VERY promising things about a possible Friends reunion
Since Friends went off the air in 2004, fans have been itching for a reboot or reunion. Neither the cast members nor creators have had any apparent interest, with some going as far to say that a Friends reboot would be an utter disaster. However, Jennifer Aniston, who played Rachel Green on the series, recently said she’d be open to a reunion. Wait, what’s that? Are those angels singing and tears streaming down our faces?
Aniston recently sat down with Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show to chat about work and life. And DeGeneres didn’t waste any time asking about a possible reboot. “Alright, let’s talk about number one,” she said, People reports. “Do a Friends reunion.”
Aniston’s response floored us.
"Ohhhkay, Aniston replied. “Why not? You know what, because, listen, I told you this. I would do it. The girls would do it. And the boys would do it, I'm sure. Anything could happen."
She laughed, we cried, and now we’re trying to read between the lines and predict if anything is already in the works. Let the conspiracies commence.
Although this sounds like the band may be getting back together, fans shouldn’t really hold their breath. The last time Aniston appeared on Ellen in February 2018, she said virtually the same thing about the notion of a Friends reboot.
"Anything is a possibility, Ellen. Anything," she said during that interview. "I mean, George Clooney got married."
With so many shows from the late 1990s and early 2000s hopping back on the air lately—like Will & Grace, Full House, and Charmed—now is the time to toy with the idea of a Friends reboot or reunion. Nostalgia is still very hot right now.
We’re crossing our fingers but not holding our breath. Jen, you must stop stringing us along like this. It’s getting to be exhausting!
