Jenna Dewan Tatum’s #TBT photo makes us miss our own childhood dance recitals

Every women had a moment when they were younger and their mothers enrolled them into dancing class. But when Jenna Dewan Tatum posted a major TBT photo of her a young dancer we could not help but feel nostalgic of the days of leotards, tap shoes, and recital days. To be a kid again!

On Thursday Jenna posted a photo of her in what we can presume to be a recital costume. Of course we were going to like the photo, but it also made us miss our dancing days. Whether you were enrolled in ballet, tap or jazz, almost every woman has a dancing story. But seriously Jenna has talent that we never could have had!

According to an interview, Jenna Dewan Tatum did with InStyle she is hoping to pass down her love of dancing as a young girl to her daughter Everly.

"The girl loves a good dance party, Dewan Tatum told InStyle. “If we watch a movie in our family room, anytime there’s a song in the movie — opening credits, end credits, throughout the movie — Evie thinks it’s a dance party time. I would say most of the dance parties happen in the family room, spontaneously, during movie time".

"We took her to one dance class. I think she’s just a little too young. Everly is a total free spirit, likes to do things her own way, and was not so into following the class. We took a break. What I didn’t want to happen was her to feel any sort of pressure around it, so I said, we’ll revisit it at some other time, and if she wants to, great, and if she doesn’t, that’s great too. I want her to find something that she loves. It doesn’t have to be something that I love too".

If its any indicator of her talented parents we definitely think Everly is going to get bit by the dancing bug. Seriously LOOK at these dance moves on her mother!

Also any seasoned dancer will know this epic moment with Paula Abdul is every performers dream.

At the end of the day we don’t know what’s better, that dancing brought Jenna her husband or the fact that we will forever be obsessed with the movie Step Up.
