Jena Malone announced her pregnancy in the most poetic way

Jena Malone is one talented, prolific human being. From Stepmom to Donnie Darko to Saved!, Sucker Punch, and as Johanna Mason in The Hunger Games series, Malone has been a constant force in Hollywood we know and love – and she isn’t done yet, with projects lines up for the foreseeable future.

And now, she has a completely new challenge to add to that list: motherhood! Malone and her boyfriend, photographer Ethan DeLorenzo, are expecting. And Malone was gracious enough not only to give us a stunning photo of herself (complete with a baby bump) on Instagram, but to also share some beautiful words about this experience, and her feelings about her own mother.

The poem accompanying the gorgeous photo begins: “Womb to womb / To beating wing / I climbed out of the eternal / And into the shape of me.” Malone continues by explaining the meaning behind the words:

WE’RE NOT CRYING, YOU’RE CRYING. But seriously, what a beautiful testament not only to Malone’s mother and motherhood, but to the circle of life in general. She doesn’t forget to end the caption by crediting her main squeeze: #impossibleproject Polaroid taken by my beautiful hearted baby daddy @uglyhippie Can they be any cuter? Our instinct is to say no, but we have a feeling that once an adorable baby is added to this bunch, it’s going to be difficult to do anything other than make squealing noises.

Huge congrats to Jena and Ethan! May your new little one have even half the talent, passion, and zest for life that you guys do.
