“Gilmore Girls'” Jared Padalecki has a baby on the way!

Just in time for the Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life premiere, Jared Padalecki announced he’s expecting his third child! Padalecki, AKA Dean Forester,stopped by Live with Kelly on Monday, and he shared the exciting news that he and wife Genevieve Cortese Padalecki will soon be parents of three.

"When I started the show, I was 22 years old — I was a single guy, kind of doing my thing," Padelecki told Kelly Rippa and co-host for the day Richard Curtis. “Now I’m 12 years older, father of two, about to be father of three in March."

Padalecki and Cortese Padalecki already have two sons, Thomas Colton and Austin Shepherd.

And now the boys get to be big brothers to another Padalecki baby!

The couple got married back in 2010, but Padalecki explained that he doesn’t always tell the truth when it comes to how they met.

“The story I tell amongst my friends is that she wouldn’t leave me alone, right? he said. “So finally I was like, ‘All right, yeah yeah, fine, I’ll go on a date with you, fine.’"

“But she came on set and it was Season 4, which was eight years ago, he recalled. “I thought she was cute and smart, and I remember she would always read books. And one of my pet peeves is when somebody interrupts me when I’m reading — like I kind of get the shakes.

But he kept interrupting her anyway because LOVE. Jared continued, “I’d be like, ‘So what’s your favorite Hemingway?’ [Then] I’d go in my trailer and look up Hemingway. I thought she was awesome and so I asked her out to lunch, and it turned into hanging out and talking about traveling, and it turned into dinner.”

And then it turned into marriage and THREE kids! We are so incredibly happy for the growing family and wish them nothing but the best.
