Jared Padalecki just shared some potentially devastating news for Dean/Rory shippers
As we count down the agonizing days to the Gilmore Girls Netflix revival, there have been a lot of questions on our minds. Arguably the biggest: Will Rory and Dean ride off into the sunset together like we always dreamed they would?
According to Jared Padalecki, the actor who plays Dean, it seems like the answer is ::sniff sniff:: probably not. During a panel at JIBCON, Jared spoke about the revival. And with clenched hearts, we listened to Jared deliver the news that his appearance in the new Gilmore Girls episodes is pretty small. Amy Sherman-Palladino, the original creator of the show wrote him a very small part that’s not really pivotal to the plot. In fact, Jared says that she told him, “We’re going to write you a really cool scene, and if you get a day off, let us know, and we will just put your scene in for that day.”
So while Jared’s not officially giving anything away there, we’re pretty much nursing a broken heart rn. But now there’s a different burning question on our minds: If it wasn’t for Supernatural taking up so much of Jared’s time, would the revival have turned out differently?
But there is some good to all this sad news: Jared revealed that his final scene takes place in Doose’s Market, where he used to work as a teenager, and “gave him closure.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=
On the other hand, if you’re Team Jess or Team Logan, this might be the best news you’ve heard all day.
