Jane Fonda said that she “lives for sex scenes” with Robert Redford and opened up about sex in her 70s
Jane Fonda has been our inspiration for years. And now she’s giving us all the goodies on kissing Robert Redford. Now, this isn’t the first time we’ve fallen in love with Jane Fonda, and it definitely won’t be the last. From her feminist interview with Brie Larson to her wise words about female friendship to her hilarious turn on Grace and Frankie, we are here for just about everything she does.
This time, we’re here to focus on her openness regarding sex in her 70s and kissing Hollywood hunk Robert Redford.
Because who doesn’t want to make out with Robert Redford at any age?
Can you blame Jane though? Robert Redford has always been a babe.
But more than that, it is so interesting to look at the two movies Fonda and Redford have done together and see their career trajectory. They first starred together in the 1967 movie Barefoot in the Park, and now, 50 years later, they’re playing a couple again in the new movie Our Souls At Night. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=
As Fonda put it, they started as a couple young and in love with each other and ended their careers with a movie that had them as an older couple, still in love and still having sex with each other in their 70s and 80s. (Fonda is 79 and Redford is 81.)
"I just love the fact that these films bookend our careers," she told the Hollywood Reporter. “We played that young love just getting married [in Barefoot] and now we play old people love and old people sex. Although, in my opinion, Ritesh [Batra, director] cut the sex scene too soon.
And why’s that?
"I live for sex scenes!" Fonda said. "He’s a great kisser. It was fun to kiss him in my 20s and then to kiss him again in my almost 80s."
Fonda also spoke out in general about the greatness of “old people sex.”
"You know your body better, so you’re not afraid to ask for what you need," she said. "I think on a love and sex level, it just gets better.
