Jamie Lynn Spears’ daughter was reportedly involved in a “serious accident,” and we’re really hoping everything is okay

In extremely concerning news, it’s been confirmed by several sources that Jamie Lynn Spears’ daughter has been hospitalized after a serious ATV accident this past weekend. 8-year-old Maddie was reportedly rushed to a hospital after being submerged under water for “several minutes.”

HOWEVER, the family just released a statement which said, “The details the media are reporting surrounding the incident regarding Jamie Lynn’s daughter Maddie are incorrect. Right now the Spears family asks that everyone respect their privacy during this time and appreciates all the prayers and support for their family.”

Jamie Lynn's father, Jamie (and Maddie's grandfather) also released a statement to ET, simply saying, "All I can say is pray for our baby Maddie."

Basically, not a ton is known about Maddie’s current condition, so we are holding off on jumping to any conclusions at this point. We’re just seriously hoping that everything is okay and are sending so much love the family’s way right now.

Maddie, born in 2008, and is Jamie Lynn’s only child.
