Daniel Craig will reportedly return as James Bond, and welcome back, 007

Daniel Craig will have his martini shaken, not stirred, thank you very much. That’s because, according to a report from the Mirror, the actor is on board for what would be his fifth James Bond movie.

Plus, to add more star power into the mix, producers are hoping Adele will lend her vocals to the upcoming soundtrack. You know, after the singer — who was recently diagnosed with damaged vocal cords — nabbed a Golden Globe AND Academy Award for Skyfall‘s theme song.

Now, if that bit of news isn’t enough to make you want to go all 007, there’s even more.

Christopher Nolan, the mastermind behind The Dark Knight and Inception is “definitely” interested in directing a Bond film.

"I've spoken to the producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson over the years," Nolan told Playboy. "I deeply love the character, and I'm always excited to see what they do with it. Maybe one day that would work out. You'd have to be needed, if you know what I mean. It has to need reinvention; it has to need you. And they're getting along very well."

So, um, can he please direct the next Bond? Because we’d love to see his take on the long-running franchise, not to mention see all these talents coming together.

This is all such exciting news — especially because Craig previously expressed that he had NO desire to return to the series.

Like, he really, really didn’t want to go back.

“I’d rather break this glass and slash my wrists,” the actor told Time Out London. “I’m over it at the moment. We’re done. All I want to do is move on.”

Yiiiiikes. Well, whatever it was that changed his mind, we’re happy to see him return to his big role as James Bond.
