Jake Gyllenhaal’s bromance with Ryan Reynolds cost their producers “so much money”

We love a good Hollywood bromance story. Guy meets guy. Those two guys become best friends and spend too much of their producers’ money. That’s what happened when bromance sparked between Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan Reynolds. They cost their producers so much money that their love was almost extinguished before it really began!

Gyllenhaal sat down with Jimmy Fallon of The Tonight Show and discussed the making of his new movie, Life, in which he stars alongside the hilarious goofball, Ryan Reynolds.

“The set was crazy,” Gyllenhaal said. “We’re making this scary movie about the International Space Station. The whole movie takes place in zero gravity, we’re floating around — we were on wires, we’re simulating zero gravity. It would be like if you and I were literally flying around on wires,” Gyllenhaal joked with Fallon.

And even though Gyllenhaal and Reynolds were shooting fairly terrifying scenes, they could not stop their on-set gags.

“When we would cut, we just couldn’t stop laughing and joking. We wasted so much money,” Gyllenhaal told Fallon. “The producers brought us to the side, and they took us in the corner, and they were like, ‘We need to talk to Ryan and Jake…you guys need to cut it out. We are wasting so much money.'”

Please watch the full interview below because it’s so freaking hilarious.

“We’re starting a bromance! Give us our time!” — we need this on a t-shirt or something, stat.

Listen guys, don’t let the haters get you down! Bromance isn’t about the money, it’s about the love you two share. But it looks like Gyllenhaal already knows that —

This could be the best bromance of 2017. Our new mantra: Jake and Ryan forever!
