Jake Gyllenhaal wants to be set up on a blind date, and we’re on standby
We all know Jake Gyllenhaal, correct? Strong-jawed. Mysteriously sexy. Actor, and former boyfriend of one Taylor Swift. Turns out, Jake Gyllenhaal is on the dating market. And the best part? He is open to being set up on blind dates. Because admit it: Blind dates are actually the best.
The 36-year-old actor said as much during an interview with Elle. Gyllenhaal is currently promoting his new film, Stronger. The movie follows the true story of Jeff Bauman, a man who lost his legs in the Boston Marathon bombing and helped the FBI capture one of the bombers, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.
In the interview, Gyllenhaal talks about nervousness, loneliness, and even masculinity. Then, Elle asked Gyllenhaal if people tried to set him up on dates.
This was his answer.
"People should do it more often. I absolutely encourage it. There should be more of that in my life."
But then he tried to backtrack.
"When you first said 'set you up,' I thought you meant for a prank."
LIKELY STORY.
Gyllenhaal also shared some important wisdom for all the single people out there.
"I don’t get lonely, I have myself," he said. "I have a really wonderful group of friends, and I have a life I love in New York City. When you have a foundation that’s strong, you can move from it and go explore."
Turns out all he really needs is the friendship of people like Ryan Reynolds. To be fair, they do have a pretty good thing going.
