Jake Gyllenhaal finally answered a question about Taylor Swift

They only dated for three months back in 2010, but Jake Gyllenhaal can’t escape questions about Taylor Swift, and it seems he’s finally ready to address it…sort of.

While the whirlwind romance happened nearly seven years ago, fans just can’t seem to let things go, even asking Jake’s sister Maggie about that infamous scarf just last week. But now Jake is finally giving us something, and it’s all thanks to some promo for his new movie Stronger.

In a Facebook Live session with Boston Marathon bombing survivor Jeff Bauman, who Jake portrays in the upcoming drama, the two discuss all kinds of things, like their favorite Boston movies and when Jake will actually make a good movie (LOL).

Jeff then asked Jake a totally serious question about his famous ex: “If you lost your legs in real life, do you think Taylor Swift would write a song about it?”

To clarify, Jake asked: “For me or about it?”

“For you. Like a country song,” Jeff said, to which the actor replied, “She sort of moved more into pop now.”

Of course, it’s widely believed that Taylor wrote a few songs about her brief romance with Jake, including “All Too Well” and “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” He has never publicly addressed their relationship or the split, often choosing to change the subject, like he did during a recent interview with The Guardian when asked about the past fling. He reportedly said, “I would love to not talk about my personal life,” adding, “I would love to talk about the movie.”

We guess Taylor was right, because it seems like they’re never ever getting back together. Sorry, Gyllenswift shippers!
