Jaime Lannister admits to some pretty serious sins in this new “Game of Thrones” clip

An extended Game of Thrones clip just dropped, and — like many GoT plot developments — it has our heads reeling.

We know that Jon Snow is dead (for now, at least), Arya is blind, Sansa is on the run, and Cersei is on the path to revenge. As for Jaime? Well he just let the High Sparrow in on some seriously incriminating information over the dead body of his niece (/daughter), Myrcella. The admission comes after Jamie snarls at the High Sparrow for “imprisoning and humiliating” his sister/lover, Cersei.

“What about my sins?” Jaime says. “I broke a sacred oath and stabbed my king in the back. I killed my own cousin. When the gods judged my brother guilty, I helped him escape that justice. What atonement do I deserve?”

Of course, Jaime leaves out a confession about his super close relationship with Cersei. That’s for another time, perhaps.

Still, that’s a lot of sins to confess to the High Sparrow of all people. But the clip ends with Jaime’s hand on the hilt of his sword, so this conversation could end up swaying in anyone’s favor. Guess we’ll have to watch to find out who serves the punishment in this GoT chapter.
