Jada Pinkett Smith wore a “got consent?” shirt, and everyone in the world should have one

“Say it with your chest!” That’s a classic Kevin Hart line, but Jada Pinkett Smith did just that with her statement-making T-shirt. While attending the Skate Kitchen Sundance premiere, which stars her son Jaden, Pinkett Smith was the one turning heads. They say your style speaks before you do, and her tee spoke volumes.
But are we really surprised? Jada has always been vocal about issues regarding, well, pretty much anything and everything. From her vocal disapproval of the Golden Globes snubbing her Girls Trip co-star, Tiffany Haddish, to matters of equal pay, Jada has never been afraid to speak her piece.
And this time, Jada’s words spoke via the garment she chose to wear. While her entire outfit was fly (hello, shaggy coat and leather pants), it was her basic tee that really spoke to the current women’s movement.
Got consent?
Two simple words, but one very important question.
While Jada can and does wear the most exclusive threads on the red carpet, it was a simple yet important shirt that made this look.
Did I mention that the shirt is just $20 and supports a dope cause? Created by A Long Walk Home, the non-profit uses “art to educate, inspire, and mobilize young people to end violence against girls and women.”
The Chicago-based organization describes their shirt as:
"By asking the simple question of 'Got Consent?' this T-Shirt promotes the idea that every person has the right to safe, healthy, and legal sexual activities."
Fashion that truly speaks. Everyone should have this in their closet.
