Jack Daniel’s now sells whiskey-infused coffee — here’s where you can buy it
We have a crucial question for coffee drinkers: Do you take your cup of joe black, with half and half or a shot of whiskey? Honestly, we’re not encouraging anyone to start the day off by drinking, but we genuinely wondered who might be into Jack Daniel’s whiskey-infused coffee. According to Thrillist, the whiskey brand introduced the new coffee on Thursday in partnership with World of Coffee.
Named Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey Coffee, the new booze-inspired brew isn’t actually as strong as it sounds. Although its described as “premium 100% Arabica coffee, roasted medium [that’s] infused with Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey,” it’s actually a non-alcoholic beverage.
A whiskey and coffee combo obviously sounds like one hell of a wake-up call in liquid form, but sorry coffee drinkers: The only way you’ll get a buzz from this new line of coffee is from your usual caffeine high.
According to some of The Huffington Post staff (who were lucky enough to sample the new coffee), the whiskey-infused drink comes in regular and decaffeinated. Some of their taste testers described it as “less bitter than regular black coffee, but without any annoying flavors,” and “normal, sort of burnt and/or stale coffee.”
Then they also answered what we ALL want to know: Can you taste the whiskey?
Basically, they all said no.
Specifically, they said, "I could not, and believe me, I come from a long line of people who know what whiskey tastes like," and "No, it just tasted like regular coffee to me."
This is oddly disappointing to us for some reason, but hey, we still love coffee, so there are really no losers here.
Anyway guys, the coffee is currently available Jack Daniel’s Lynchburg Hardware and General Store in Lynchburg, Tennessee, and you can also buy it from the company’s online store.
Happy (sober) coffee drinking!
