Ja Rule reading ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’ is a priceless gift
While Ja Rule is probably best known for his early ’00s hits and highly-publicized feuds, the Murder Inc. rapper also happens to be a father of three — which means he’s probably read his fair share of bedtime stories in his life. Of course, given his unbelievably distinct voice, it might be hard to imagine how Ja would interpret some good old-fashioned Dr. Seuss. But lucky for us, we don’t have to imagine any longer.
Ja Rule recently stopped by BBC Radio 1 to do a reading of How the Grinch Stole Christmas — and to no one’s surprise, it’s everything we could have hoped for and more. In the recording, Ja Rule perfectly sets the scene and gives an enthusiastic telling of the tale, accompanied by some dramatic music to help further bring it to life. It definitely gives a new twist to the classic story, and it’s safe to say you haven’t lived until you’ve heard Ja Rule say, “Poo-poo to the Whos!”
In the past, BBC Radio 1 has been responsible for some of our favorite music mash-ups and covers, but this really takes things to the next level. Ja Rule’s reading makes my small heart grow three times in size. (Yes, that was a Grinch joke.)
