Here’s the first look at Ivy Park, Beyonce’s line of workout clothes
Drop everything, because we just got our first taste of Ivy Park, Beyonce‘s new line of workout clothes, after over a year of waiting. Elle exclusively released a video not only showing us some of the new clothes that we’re dreaming of wearing to the gym, but also everything a Bey fan could ever want — including insight into the reason behind the name “Ivy Park.”
Obviously, we know where “Ivy” came from — her daughter Blue Ivy — but it turns out that the second part of the name draws from a place she draws inspiration and strength: a park she used to go running in as a kid. “There are things I’m still afraid of,” Bey says in the video. “When I have to conquer those things, I still go back to that park. Before I hit the stage, I go back to that park. When it was time for me to give birth, I went back to that park. The park became a state of mind. The park became my strength. The park is what made me who I am.”
The line, which has over 200 items, appears to feature not only workout gear, but super cute athleisure items. But what’s perhaps got us most transfixed is watching Bey looking strong, confident and totally #flawless. And of course, we have all the feels over this touching shot of her carrying Blue Ivy:
Another incredible part of the video for Ivy Park? We even get a peek at a home video of Beyoncé and Solange as adorable kids!
On top of the video release, the line’s official Instagram account was launched today, featuring Bey looking stellar sporting some Ivy Park get-ups.
Oh, and in case *that* wasn’t enough, it was also revealed that the May issue of Elle will feature the one and only Queen Bey:
Yep, it’s a beautiful day. The Ivy Park collection will be available on Topshop.com, Nordstrom.com, and Zalando.com beginning April 14, so make sure to have your wallets ready, because it’s sure to go quick.
